The Fort Erie Meteors are looking for an Athletic Trainer for the 2026–2027 season.
This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You’ll be part of the day-to-day team environment, working directly with players and staff to keep athletes healthy, game-ready, and supported throughout the season.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Assessing injuries and providing first aid, treatment, and rehabilitation
- Covering all home games, away games, and practices (September–March, plus playoffs)
- Managing concussion protocols and maintaining the Emergency Action Plan
- Building return-to-play plans alongside healthcare professionals
- Communicating with players, coaches, and families on injuries and care
- Supporting conditioning, injury prevention, and sport-specific needs
- Keeping the training room organized, stocked, and ready
- Maintaining injury reports, treatment logs, and required documentation
- Educating players on safety, recovery, and proper habits
- Following all league safety standards and certification requirements
What You’ll Be Part Of
You’ll work closely with players, coaches, hockey operations, and families — playing a key role in athlete safety and performance.
This isn’t a background role. You’re part of the team.
What We’re Looking For
- Post-secondary education (completed or in progress) in:
- Kinesiology
- Physical Education
- Exercise Science
- Athletic Therapy
- First Responder / BLS certification (or higher)
- OHA Trainer Level 2 (or willingness to obtain before the season)
- Previous athletic training experience (required)
- Junior hockey experience (preferred)
- Must be 18+
Required certifications can be completed prior to the start of the season.
